Product Description
Palmarosa (Cymbopogon Martini) is rich exotic oil which combines fresh citrus tones with a warm comforting floral note reminiscent of a good Geranium or Ylang Ylang. It is beneficial for nervous tension and stress related complaints and is helpful where one needs to stimulate the body and beat fatigue whilst calming the mind. I have also found it helpful for clients with stress related irritable bowel conditions. It originated in Constantinople where the wives of rich merchants for cosmetic skin preparations used it and indeed it is still used by aromatherapist today because of its positive effect on the skin. It is also believed to be cleansing oil and I regularly prescribe it for computer bound clients in a spray form to be used in the space between them and their computers before and after work.
Julies Professional Tip:
If using it as a cleansing spray add 4 drops per tablespoon of water and 1 drop of tea tree to add an antiseptic aspect remember to make the spray up fresh after three days and either shake well before use or use vodka to disperse the oil.
