Lemon Eucalyptus Essential Oil (Eucalyptus Citriadora) The powerfully penetrating scent of eucalyptus is familiar to all and this oil enjoys a formidable reputation and has an affinity with the respiratory system. . Eucalyptus Globulus is the most common plant variety form which oil is extracted, however my advice is to seek out the more expensive and unusual lemon eucalyptus. This lemon scented version of the plant is an attractive alternative to the standard Eucalyptus. It has all the antibacterial cleaning properties of common eucalyptus. However in respect of the quality and scent there is no comparison. The citrus overtones in the scent add a much needed lift to the oil and in a burner the scent is much more pleasant.

Remember to take particular care to test for skin sensitivity if you are massaging with any eucalyptus oil and avoid if pregnant. Eucalyptus is popular in childrens bedrooms in winter, its stimulant action can be negated by adding chamomile in equal quantities.
